How to I motivate myself to get off the computer and get a life?

The key word is motivation which is inherently born out of annoyance and fear.

The main thing to do is create a situation which makes being on the computer unbearable. An example would be to install a timer like (1) Apimac or (2) PCtimer that would emit an annoying noise. This would force you to manage your time which is the bane of any time-wasting net surfer. Time management is proven to gain time for a life (our goal), motivate and initiate, and helps reduce avoidance.(3) Disconnecting from your network every time you need to go to the bathroom or lean back to stretch helps as well. This distances you from the net a little and in this immediate world every click counts.

The aspect of fear comes into play when you feel like no one will be friends with you outside of a online network. Honestly, the only thing is stand up, pretend you are your favorite villain or superhero and call a person from your school or work network at random. Yes you might get butterflies floating about in your stomach but it'll be worth it. Try not to tremble too much.
Meet where? Local mall.
